The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, was yesterday inducted Fellow of The Nigerian Academy of Engineering, during the Academy’s annual lecture and investiture in Lagos.

An  elated Danbatta, while being inducted stated that the induction is an honour for NCC and dedicate it to the Commission, which he said has brought regulatory efficiency to the Nigerian telecom space.

“Today, I feel personally fulfilled as an Engineer and administrator of human and material resources. I believe this induction is a recognition of the contribution of the ICT sector and the agency that is responsible for driving the achievement,” he said.

He said being inducted as a Fellow of The Nigerian Academy of Engineering is an honour that will spur the Nigerian Communications Commission to work harder, in order to deliver on the mandate assigned to the Commission.
