Carrot.ng, a one stop shop to estate planning has unveiled its digital platform, that would ultimately alter the usual ways of estate management in Nigeria.

Specifically, the digital platform has been created for subscribers to securely create, update and schedule execution of their Wills or other Testamentary instruments such as  Deed of Gifts or other Revocable Living Wills in real time, anytime, anywhere.

“Carrot.ng is an online platform that turns the unexpected into comfort for your loved ones,” said Odunayo Willaims, Chief Operating Officer of Carrot.ng at a press conference in Lagos on Saturday.

Odunayo explained that one of the challenges of inheritance and estate planning in Nigeria today is the perception that the making of Wills is an exclusive preserve of the rich. This, he said is not true, but the cumbersome nature of processing the Will, and that Carrot.ng has berthed in Nigeria to simplify the process.

He added that anybody above 18 years can easily log on to the website and create a Will.

According to him, Carrot helps families break through the perceived challenges of securing and protecting their families’ financial future. It overcomes the difficulty, costs, and isolation that most people experience while trying to complete essential legal and financial tasks.

“Carrot enables you to make a legal and valid will, purchase a health, life, travel and unemployment benefits insurance and organize your inventory of assets – in minutes and with just a click. The platform removes all barriers that prevent most families from getting the kind of legal and financial protection they need and deserve. We have made it enjoyable, convenient and secure for everyone to create a financial security plan and organize their assets easily,” he emphasized further.

A check on the website indicates that the platform also enables testators to appoint guardians for children under 18 years old and aged parents and/or relatives, appoint executors, witnesses and trustees in a seamless manner.

It is also indicated all subscribers have access to comprehensive legal will, reviewed by Lawyers, free ₦1million GPA Insurance Cover, free ₦100,000 Medical Insurance Cover and unlimited updates for a one time fee of N35,000
