18th Edition of CFA’s Startups Hangout is coming up on February 27; Set to teach Startups how to scale up

The 18th edition of CFA’s Startups Hangout, slated for Wednesday, February 27, 2019, promises to be a burden-breaker for many upcoming Startups. This is because, the theme that the guest speakers will be speaking on, ‘From Startup to Scale up – The Whole 9 Yards’, has always been the albatross of many Startups all over the world. The inability to scale up by many Startups is the real reason why many Startups die off before the celebration of their 5th anniversary.

The 18th Edition of CFA’s Startups Hangout is set to change that narrative, as it brings in two successful entrepreneurs that have passed through the process of starting up and running successful business concerns that have scaled. The distinguished invited speakers are Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, Managing Consultant, StarTeam Consult and Aramide Abe, Founder, Naija Startups.

“We believe that Startups are a powerful tool for creating thriving and prosperous communities and they need to be assisted in every way possible to grow and scale. That is why we are bringing in these successful and experienced entrepreneurs to show Startups the path to success too”, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata Jnr, CFA, the convener of CFA’s Startups Hangout, who is also a Co-Founder of GoDo.ng and Presenter of Tech trends on Channels television, explained.

He is also a past Chairman, Nigerian Economic Summit Group, past President, Nigeria Employers Consultative Association, past Chairman, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, Ikeja, past President of the Nigerian American Chamber of Commerce and founded the Sam Ohuabunwa Foundation for Economic Empowerment in 2009. He is also the current President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, PSN.

Aramide is a digital media professional, entrepreneur and Founder of Naija Startups, a virtual sector-agnostic startup accelerator and entrepreneurship community, which has a vision to facilitate small business growth in Sub-Saharan Africa. She had also worked in IT consulting and marketing, as well as strategy implementation in the financial sector. The mission of her outfit, Naija Startups, is to help build sustainable businesses across Africa via providing access to investors and vice-versa, Startup Talent sourcing, proffering shared services, (e.g. legal, HR accounting), and skills and capability building for the entrepreneurs.
