One of the leading global providers of ICT infrastructure, Huawei has said it is committed to the relationship with all its channel partners in Nigeria in this age of rapid advancement in ICT innovation solutions, technologies such as 5G, AI, IoT, and cloud computing are becoming the new reality.

The Chinese Original Equipment Manufacturer stated this at its Nigeria Eco-Connect 2019′ in Lagos, which was well attended by over 500 channel partners earlier this week.

It noted that as ICT is increasingly becoming the foundation for digital economies and producing an intelligent world, Huawei is committed to helping enterprise organizations expand the boundaries of their businesses, to find routes to new growth; to explore innovative technological solutions and build new business opportunities.

It noted that as ICT is increasingly becoming the foundation for digital economies and producing an intelligent world, Huawei is committed to helping enterprise organizations expand the boundaries of their businesses, to find routes to new growth; to explore innovative technological solutions and build new business opportunities.

Expressing delight in the growth of ICT in Nigeria, the Chief Executive Officer of Huawei Enterprise Nigeria, Tank Li, said Huawei’s plans is to deepen its investment in Nigeria. “Today, I feel really amazed. Three years ago we only had 20, or maximum 25, channel partners in this kind of event, but today, we have more than 500 channels registered. This shows the great confidence that we put in this country, Nigeria. It is still the biggest economic entity in the African continent,” he stated.

He assured that Huawei also aims at enhancing its relationship with its partners to further develop the Nigerian market. This, he believes will be achieved by creating an ecosystem around the partners. In our enterprise business, our core value is really to build an ecosystem with our partners together. In 2019, we will raise our connection with the partner ecosystem and we will call it ‘Huawei Insight’, that means we will enlarge our collaboration with all the partners,” he emphasized.

At the event, the company announced that HUAWEI CLOUD is now available in Nigeria, offering commercial services. According to Mr. Olusoji Adeyemo quoting Mr. Edward Deng, Vice President of Huawei Cloud Business Unit, “Africa is one of the most diverse and promising emerging markets globally with tremendous potential, and cloud services are expected to unleash the latent capacity and drive the growth in the country”.

Speaking on furthering collaboration in Africa, Mr. Olusoji echoed the official statement saying “We are looking forward to Huawei Cloud’s innovative technologies and services, such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence assisting African and by extension Nigeria governments, carriers, and enterprises in a variety of industries such as finance, energy, agriculture, to leapfrog to a fully-connected, intelligent era.”

The annual Eco-Connect event organized by Huawei was introduced to Africa in 2017 starting with South Africa. This now currently holds in two other countries, Nigeria and Kenya, within Africa. Through the event, Huawei seeks to build a wider ecosystem with its partners at the center of it all. The event brings together global industry visionaries, opinion leaders, and potential partners for in-depth discussion and insights into the latest industry trends.

Looking to the future, Huawei promises to continue to work with its partners to enable the digital transformation of all industries.

Huawei’s big mission is to bring digital to every person, home and organization for a fully connected, intelligent world.
