CWG Academy, the training and capacity building arm of CWG Plc, last week graduated its second set of online students since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the graduation ceremony conducted online, the Director of Academy, Mr. Emmanuel Effiong urged the students to be worthy ambassadors of the Academy, exhibiting every positive trait to success, which they have been taught in the last six weeks.

“While it is a thing of joy that you are graduating from the CWG Academy, touted as one of the best in the country, there is need for you as graduating students to consistently learn and research as technology is dynamic,” he said.

While assuring the students that the Academy has prepared them with the necessary skills to face the real world, Effiong asked the students to continuously look forward to what the world will present to them with boldness and enthusiasm.

Going by the testimonies from those who have graduated from the Academy in the last ten years of its inception, the CWG Academy has become a citadel of learning for those seeking skills in the world of Information and Communications Technology.

Since its inception, the CWG Academy has trained and developed over 1,500 Professionals, many of whom acquired skills that earned them employment with Blue-Chip companies in Nigeria today. Some have also gone ahead to establish their own companies as entrepreneurs and are doing very well.

According to CWG Plc, the Academy is one of the many ways CWG is contributing her quota to Nation building by ways of helping to tackle the Nigerian unemployment quagmire.

Meanwhile, one of the graduating students, who decided not to be named in this report has hailed the expertise being deployed at the CWG Academy. He noted that with the skills he has acquired, he can excel both as an employee or a business owner.

“In the beginning, what I thought was entirely different from what I have gained in the six months. I am grateful to the lecturers and all those who put us through one form of training or the other,” he said.

He added that he heard about the Academy from a friend who has gone through it and decided to apply. “I have heard so much about the Academy and decided to apply and be a part of it. Today, I am happy I took that decision because, with the skills I acquired, I can tell my future looks good,” he said with all enthusiasm.
