Infobip, a global cloud communications platform provider has highlighted some of the roles it is playing to aid the Nigerian government to vigorously pursue the digital economy agenda, which is being championed by the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.

Speaking virtually at the World Wide Web conference, organized by the Centre for Cyber Awareness and Development (CECAD), Infobip disclosed that its role in Nigeria’s digital economy pursuit is to enable businesses to build connected customer experiences across multiple communication channels.

’Our role is to build connected customer experiences across multiple communication channels with our customer engagement platform, which powers a broad range of solutions, messaging channels, and tools for advanced customer engagement, authentication, security, support and retention,” said Infobip’s Country Manager, Mr. Olatayo Ladipo-Ajai.

Mr. Olatayo, who was represented at the conference by Erene Omijeh, Infobips’ Enterprise Sales Lead, speaks on the topic titled ‘Improving Digital Economy Through Seamless Customer Engagement and Customer Experience Strategies.’

She identified some foundational elements of a digital economy, including Digital Platforms, Digital Entrepreneurship, Digital Government, Digital Infrastructure, Digital Financial Services and Digital Skills.

Erene believes that these elements must be leveraged to be able to fully achieve what can be referred to as the digital economy.

Arguing that key challenges for businesses in today’s digital age include customer reach and customer engagement, authentication and security and support and retention, Omijeh assured that as a company that enables life-changing interactions for every human on earth, Infobip will continue to create seamless interactions between businesses, people and things.

Since entry into Nigeria’s Information and Communications Technology industry……years ago, Infobip has made a meaningful impact on various segments of the country’s economy, especially its contribution to organizations’ rapidly changing communication needs and strategies, driven by the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic last year.
