    Titans of Tech Awards celebrates industry luminaries

    The 20th edition of the prestigious Titans of Tech Awards was a dazzling showcase of Nigeria’s ICT industry, recognizing exceptional achievements and honoring industry pioneers. Held over the weekend, the event was marked by glamour, innovation, and a celebration of Nigeria’s technological progress.

    A highlight of the evening was the presentation of Lifetime Achievement Awards to industry titans including Engr. Dr. Ernest Ndukwe, Chairman of MTN Nigeria; Col. Aiyegbeni Peters, Chairman of Alpha Technologies; Austin Okere, Founder of CWG; Chris Uwaje, CEO of Mobile Software Solutions; Femi Pedro, former Managing Director of First Atlantic Bank and ex-Deputy Governor of Lagos State; and Tim Akano, CEO of New Horizon.

    Thirteen distinguished individuals were also inducted into the Titans of Tech Hall of Fame, a testament to their enduring contributions to the ICT sector. Among the inductees were Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, Femi Williams, CEO of Newwaves Ecosystem Limited, and Gbenga Adebayo, Founder and President of Royal FM 95.1Mhz.

    The awards ceremony also recognized outstanding performances across various categories. NCC emerged as the Pan African Telecommunication Regulator of the Year, while MTN clinched the Best Telecom Company of the Decade Award. Other notable winners included Digital Realty, itel, NetAccess, Hyperspace Technologies, Alpha Technologies, Tecpoint Global Services, ipNX, NewGlobe, One Data, Zoracom, Covenant University, Tobi Ayeni, and Royal Ibeh.

    Don Pedro Aganbi, in his welcome address, emphasized the importance of recognizing industry pioneers while looking forward to the future of technology in Nigeria. The event showcased the vibrant and dynamic nature of the country’s ICT landscape and underscored the significant role it plays in driving national development.

    The Titans of Tech Awards continues to be a platform for celebrating excellence and inspiring the next generation of tech leaders.
