The innovation landscape in Nigeria has continued to evolve, fueling a rapid digital transformation driven by innovation hubs. This rapid transformation comes with a need to build robust systems that will enable, support, accelerate, and sustain this growth and impact.

In recognition and celebration of this critical movement, the Innovation Support Network (ISN) Hubs is proud to announce the 5th edition of its Annual Gathering, set to take place from October 29th to November 1st, 2024, at the Ibom Icon Hotel in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

This milestone gathering, themed “Scaling Together: Building a Collaborative Culture for Nigerian Innovation,” promises to be a dynamic celebration of innovation, collaboration, and growth across the nation.

Over the years, previous editions of the ISN Annual Gathering have been held in Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory – Abuja, and now in the bustling city of Uyo. This expansion into a new city is a testament to the growth of the Gathering into a cornerstone event for the Nigerian innovation ecosystem.

This year’s edition promises to attract 10,000+ participants, including innovators, startups, innovation hubs, investors, corporates, policymakers, media, academia, and leading development partners. This edition will not only reflect on ISN’s remarkable five-year journey but also focus on the future of the ecosystem, highlighting and facilitating collaboration for sustainable innovation and economic growth in Nigeria.

Several distinguished partners have been confirmed for the event including GIZ/Digital Transformation Center Nigeria.

“At a time when the world is looking to Africa for the next big wave of innovation, collaboration is our strongest currency,” said Oge Nnaife, the Executive Director of ISN Hubs. “This gathering is more than a celebration; it’s a powerful reminder that by working together, we can unlock unprecedented opportunities and solve complex challenges. We are excited to bring this event to Akwa Ibom, a state rich in culture and potential, and to extend our impact to new frontiers.”

Reflecting on the impressive growth of ISN Hubs, Charles Emembolu, Chairman of the Board, remarked, “What started with 75 members in 2019 has grown into a vibrant network of nearly 200 hubs across 29 states. This incredible expansion is a testament to the relentless efforts of our members and partners, who have tirelessly worked to support entrepreneurs and foster innovation across Nigeria. As we celebrate five years of impact, we look forward to what lies ahead—continuing to push boundaries and create a thriving digital economy.”

The four-day event will be a unique blend of culture and technology, designed to inspire, educate, and connect participants. Attendees can expect thought-provoking discussions, skill-building workshops, and exciting networking opportunities. The Gathering will feature plenary sessions, a deal room, an exhibition showcasing the journey and achievements of ISN Hubs, and a tour of Akwa Ibom’s cultural landmarks, as well as a food festival that offers a taste of Akwa Ibom’s rich culinary heritage.

We invite you to join us in Uyo this October and be a part of an immersive experience that blends the best of Nigeria’s innovation and tradition.
