The Fintech Association of Nigeria (FintechNGR) has unveiled ambitious plans for growth under its new President, Dr. Stanley Jacob. Dr. Jacob, alongside Vice President Dr. Jameelah Sheriff-Aiyedun, aims to foster a thriving, innovative, and inclusive fintech ecosystem for the country.
Dr. Jacob emphasized his commitment to continuing the success of previous leaders like Dr. Segun Aina, the first President, and Mr. Ade Bajomo, his predecessor. He outlined his vision for the association, centered on the “PIE” agenda: Participation, Innovation, and Expansion.
The “PIE” Recipe for Fintech Success
- Participation: Increased engagement from all stakeholders is a key ingredient. This will be achieved through specialized Communities of Practice, member-driven initiatives, and fostering global and Pan-African collaboration.
- Innovation: The association is embracing hyper-digitization. A soon-to-launch online community and membership portal promise a vibrant online space for interaction and collaboration.
- Expansion: A revamped operational structure will see the creation of dedicated directorates focusing on membership, advocacy, learning, professional services, and innovation. This expansion aims to support members, expand reach across all Nigerian geo-political zones, and ensure effective representation.
Open Communication and Collaboration
FintechNGR prioritizes member feedback. Dr. Jacob encourages members to share their thoughts and participate in shaping the association’s future. Members can reach out directly to president@fintechng.org.
