To create thousands of job opportunities within and outside Nigeria, the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) has entered into a transformative partnership with the United States-based SBTS Group LLC. This collaboration aims to equip Nigerian youth with the digital skills necessary to thrive in the global economy.
Addressing the Digital Divide and Driving Job Creation
This partnership between DBI and SBTS is crucial to addressing Nigeria’s digital divide and fostering job creation. Leveraging the SBTS Group’s Intelligent Capacity Building Model (ICBM) and DBI’s expertise in ICT capacity building, the collaboration will focus on:
Skill Development and Employment: Training thousands of Nigerians in advanced digital and technical skills, facilitating local and international job placements, and developing a robust pipeline of skilled professionals to bridge Nigeria’s digital skills gap.
Infrastructure Upgrades and Resource Centers: Establishing Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) hubs and tech resource centers across DBI campuses in Lagos, Enugu, Kano, and other locations.
A Milestone for Nigeria’s Digital Future
According to the International Finance Corporation (IFC), over 230 million jobs in Sub-Saharan Africa will require digital skills by 2030, creating a significant demand for skilled workers. This partnership underscores the urgency of bridging Africa’s digital skills gap.
Alignment with National Priorities
DBI President/CEO, Daser David, emphasized that this initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, prioritizing human capital development, job creation, and socio-economic transformation. Furthermore, it supports the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) initiative, positioning Nigeria as a leading exporter of digital talent.
Empowering Youth and Driving Economic Growth
