A global Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) service provider and software developer, 3R Company Nigeria Limited shined at the recent 20 years of Digital Revolution Award, organized by Digivation Network in collaboration with the Association of Telecommun ications Companies of Nigeria (ATCON) and Association of Licensed Telecom Operators of Nigeria (ALTON).

3R Company Nigeria Limited was rewarded for its Creative Digital Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management Solutions.

Speaking on why the award was given to 3R Company Nigeria Limited, Dr Bayero Agabi, Founder of Digivation Network, noted that the global company that design, develop, support and promote software applications using integrated, state-of-the-art technology has proven to be the company to watch in the Nigeria ICT ecosystem.

“As critical stakeholders in the Nigerian digital economy ecosystem and specifically the Information and Communications Technology, 3R has proven to be the company to watch in the country’s ICT ecosystem,” he said, stressing that the award given to 3R is well-deserved.

He added that the organisers of the event are specifically impressed with 3R because they have become a rally point for sectorial engagement, noting that the company should be much more acquitted with the ground celebration of the progress and success recorded so far.

Other companies and agencies such as AVM consult , HD technology, Digital bridge institute, Nigerian Communications Commission and National Information Technology Development Agency also won Award.

The 20 Years of Digital Revolution Award was put together by the industry owners to celebrate growth in the industry since the first GSM call was made 20 years ago and the transformation that has happened since then.

The industry event, held in Abuja had in attendance an array of stakeholders from the public and private sector, including tech start-ups.

Commenting on the essence of the awards, Dr. Bayero said twenty years landmark of an industry that accounted for helping Nigeria’s economic recovery from recession in the past year with a contribution of 12.45% of the nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the 4th Quarter of year 2020 cannot simply go unceremoniously.

He said Nigeria as a country has enjoyed mobile telecommunication and how it has changed every other sector of the economy.

“Today, fewer things have been more revolutionary or beneficial to the country than the GSM revolution. If anything, the industry has steadily evolved to enable innovations and help the country compete technologically on a global scale,” he explained.
