As part of his commitment and drive to enhance digital transformation in Nigeria, the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Pantami recently inspected the Galaxy Backbone Limited Digital services Infrastructure &Tier IV Data Centre in Kano.
Speaking at the centre in Kano, the Minister hailed the Managing Director of Galaxy Backbone Limited, Prof. Muhammad Bello Abubakar, saying his exceptional commitment and selfless service towards technology development is commendable.
“On behalf of the federal government, I personally want to commend your ability to lead the entire team at Galaxy Backbone towards this great achievement,” he said.
The inspection of the Data Centre in Kano is coming few days after the Minister was taken around by GBB’s Chief Executive, Prof. Muhammad Bello Abubakar to also inspect the Galaxy Backbone Limited Northeast Regional Office Gombe.
An excited Pantami commended Prof. Muhammad’s efforts in carving structures that support broadband penetration across all corners of the country, adding that this effort will serve as a good means of generating more revenue for the government.
Galaxy Backbone is well positioned to support organisations and businesses in the public and private sectors in hosting and securing their data for business continuity purposes.
