XA Network, an investment network founded by tech alumni in Southeast Asia, has officially launched XA Africa, marking its expansion into the vibrant African startup ecosystem.

XA Africa is led by a trio of experienced tech professionals: Nitin Gajria, former MD of Google Sub-Saharan Africa; Jason Scott, venture capitalist and architect of the BlackFounders Fund at Google; and Marek Dawidowicz, current Marketing Director at YouTube and a South African native.

The network aims to connect exceptional African tech founders with seasoned investors and industry experts, providing not only capital but also valuable guidance and support to help startups scale. XA Africa has already made significant investments in promising African startups, including Crop2Cash, BuuPass, Kaya, and Talamus Health.

“We are excited to have XA Network on board,” said Sonia Kabra and Wyclife Omondi, Founders of BuuPass. “Their strong network of experts and understanding of emerging markets have been invaluable to our company.”

“Partnering with XA Network has been a game-changer,” said Michael Ogundare, CEO of Crop2Cash. “Their strategic guidance and network have opened doors to new opportunities.”

XA Network, founded six years ago, has become a significant player in the Southeast Asian startup ecosystem, making nearly 100 investments in the region. The network comprises senior leaders from prominent global and regional technology companies, offering portfolio companies unparalleled guidance and support.

“We see a great opportunity to build a stronger bridge between ecosystems in Africa and Southeast Asia,” said Nitin Gajria. “Our investment hypothesis has already been proven through our support of African founders.”

XA Africa will be hosting its first public Demo Day webinar on Thursday, November 7th, where investors can meet and invest in four founding companies and learn more about XA Africa
