In a move set to redefine the standards of the Nigerian mobile accessories market, MyHomeEtal Limited has officially been appointed as the authorized distributor for MICRODIA, a global leader in premium consumer electronics.

The partnership, which was finalized in late 2025 and formally launched today in Lagos, marks MICRODIA’s official entry into the Nigerian market. Founded in 1991 in San Jose, California, MICRODIA brings over three decades of engineering excellence to a collaboration aimed at providing Nigerian consumers with high-performance, safety-focused technology.

The collaboration introduces a full suite of mobile accessories, including power banks, durable cables, and protective cases.

Louis Leung, President & CEO of MICRODIA

Louis Leung, President & CEO of MICRODIA, who spoke to journalists via conference call, expressed his enthusiasm for the expansion:

“This collaboration represents a significant step forward for Nigeria’s consumer electronics market. By introducing our proprietary technologies, we aim to elevate standards and contribute to the long-term growth and sophistication of the industry across the African continent.”

The highlight of the launch is the introduction of proprietary safety technologies specifically engineered to protect expensive hardware. Among these is SMARTAI Charging Technology, an intelligent system that regulates voltage in real-time based on a device’s battery health to reduce stress and extend lifespan by up to 30% compared to standard chargers.

Additionally, the SmartGuard Temperature Safeguard is integrated into charge-and-sync cables to monitor operating temperatures and prevent overheating, which is a critical feature for maintaining device health in Nigeria’s warm climate.

Furthermore, Nigerians will now have access to record-setting products previously unavailable in the local market through MyHomeEtal’s nationwide logistics network. These world-first innovations include the SMARTCube Nano 100W GaN, which is recognized as one of the world’s smallest multi-port wall chargers. The lineup also features an Intel-certified two-meter Thunderbolt 5 cable offering ultra-fast data speeds. Finally, the introduction of the Qi2.2 25W Magnetic Wireless Power Bank provides next-generation solid-state battery cells for higher energy density in a slim, travel-ready design.

Meanwhile, Olawale Odu, CEO of MyHomeEtal, echoed these sentiments, highlighting the value of the partnership for local consumers:

“It is a privilege to join forces with MICRODIA. Together, we are excited to bring premium, genuinely innovative products to Nigerian consumers and help strengthen the local market by offering greater choice and long-term value.”

For the Nigerian public, the partnership promises more than just new gadgets. It signals a shift toward a quality-driven ecosystem where longer-lasting devices and reduced long-term ownership costs become the new standard. By combining MICRODIA’s global engineering with MyHomeEtal’s deep local market insights, the duo is positioned to empower businesses and individuals with future-ready solutions.
