    QNET commends NSCDC action on scammers hiding under brand name to commit fraud

    Global wellness and lifestyle direct-selling company, QNET, has strongly commended the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) following a successful crackdown on a criminal syndicate operating under the guise of the QNET brand.

    The recent law enforcement operation in Lagos State resulted in the rescue of several victims and the arrest of suspects allegedly masterminding a web of human trafficking, unlawful detention, and financial fraud.

    In an official statement, QNET unequivocally condemned the actions of the perpetrators, emphasizing that these criminals are deliberately hiding under the company’s established reputation to exploit vulnerable job seekers.

    The company clarified that it has absolutely no connection to these fraudulent activities and does not offer employment opportunities or guaranteed monthly salaries. Furthermore, it does not provide overseas job placements, migration services, or visa processing assistance. Finally, the company emphasized that it does not offer guaranteed financial returns on investments.

    “Our thoughts are with those who have been affected by this unfortunate situation. We wish to reiterate that QNET does not offer jobs, overseas employment opportunities, visa services, or financial guarantees in exchange for payment. These are among the most common tactics used by fraudsters to exploit vulnerable individuals,” said Biram Fall, QNET’s Regional General Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa.

    Fall lauded the NSCDC’s swift intervention, noting that safeguarding the public while protecting the integrity of the corporate brand remain top operational priority for QNET.

    Since launching its official operations in Nigeria in 2022 alongside local partner Transblue Limited, QNET has taken an aggressive stance against brand impersonation. The company has actively partnered with law enforcement, the media, and regulatory bodies to dismantle fraudulent networks.

    Key milestones in this ongoing campaign include the launch of the “Say NO!” Anti-Fraud Campaign in November 2023 to educate communities on identifying common recruitment scams. Additionally, the company has formed strategic partnerships and collaborative efforts with the Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA) and the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment to foster a transparent business environment. Finally, parallel regional awareness initiatives have been rolled out under the “QNET Against Scams” banner in Ghana, Senegal, Burkina Faso, and Sierra Leone to shield West African youth from human trafficking syndicates.

    QNET enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding misrepresentation and maintains that any Independent Distributor or third party found violating its Code of Ethics will face immediate disciplinary and legal action.
