The Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN) recognised Osinowo Ibrahim for his contribution to the advancement of technology-driven insurance solutions, particularly in the areas of insurance claims management, fraud reduction, digital insurance services, and financial-sector innovation.

Osinowo Ibrahim, a risk management and insurance technology expert, has been involved in the development and promotion of technology-enabled approaches designed to improve the efficiency, transparency, and security of insurance operations in Nigeria. His work has focused on applying digital technologies to insurance subscription, premium payment, claims processing, fraud detection, and risk-management processes.

The recognition highlighted his efforts to contribute to the transformation of Nigeria’s insurance and financial-services ecosystem through InsurTech, with particular emphasis on reducing fraudulent insurance claims and improving the integrity of claims-management processes.

According to the recognition reported by the Council, the award was presented in 2023 by the Registrar/Secretary of the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria, Mr. Muhammed Bello, FNCS, in recognition of Osinowo Ibrahim’s contribution to technology-driven transformation within the insurance and financial sectors.

Osinowo holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration and an M.Sc. in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Lagos. His academic and professional background combines business administration, financial risk management, insurance, corporate governance, and technology-driven innovation.

His professional interests include insurance technology (InsurTech), insurance claims fraud reduction, digital insurance subscriptions, electronic premium-payment systems, claims automation, financial risk management, insurance analytics, and digital transformation of insurance services.

The recognition represents an important milestone in his continuing interest in developing technology-based solutions capable of addressing persistent challenges in Nigeria’s insurance industry. In particular, the integration of digital platforms into insurance operations can support stronger verification mechanisms, improve claims documentation, facilitate faster payment processes, and strengthen controls against fraudulent or duplicate claims through digital apps and solution.

Osinowo’s work reflects the growing intersection between risk management, insurance, financial technology, and digital transformation, as Nigeria’s insurance sector continues to explore technology as a means of expanding insurance access, health insurance and proposaing pharmaceutical digital solutions products improving customer experience, strengthening regulatory compliance, and protecting insurers and policyholders from financial losses associated with fraudulent claims as well.

His subsequent interest in developing InsurTech products and digital insurance platforms builds on this foundation, with a broader objective of making insurance services more accessible, transparent, technology-driven, and responsive to the needs of policyholders and financial institutions.
