Following the successful Government Leadership & AI Summit in Abuja, GITEX NIGERIA is moving to Lagos for its Tech Expo, staged alongside the Future Economy Conference and FDX by GITEX.
Starting from tomorrow, the Lagos leg is positioned to directly connect regional entrepreneurs and early-stage companies with significant international capital and global expansion opportunities.
More than 200 investors representing 30 countries and managing a collective $200 billion in assets under management (AUM) are attending the expo. The event has drawn a diverse mix of international venture funds seeking exposure to West Africa’s tech ecosystem, including Askya Investment Partners (France), Incofin Investment (Belgium), Triple Jump (Netherlands/Kenya), Lightrock (UK), Global Ventures (UAE), and Innovest Afrika (US).
Beyond providing showroom exposure, the GITEX NIGERIA platform continues to yield structured deal flow for participating startups. Following connections established during the inaugural 2025 edition, venture studio FirstFounders engaged with 18 startups, advancing discussions with ventures such as LabTracka, GraceAI, and Vant.
That initial engagement has already translated into institutional support: AI-powered business banking platform Vant recently joined the FirstFounders portfolio through a $200,000 investment deal combining growth capital with hands-on operational scaling—underscoring the event’s role in converting trade-show networking into long-term commercial investment across the region.
