An Information and Communications Technology specialist, Mr. Olatayo Ladipo-Ajai has been appointed a new country head for Nigeria by Infobip, a global cloud communications platform that enables businesses to build connected customer experiences over customers’ preferred channels.

With the appointment, Ladipo-Ajai will spearhead the company’s strategy and bolster communications in the Nigerian region. Ladipo-Ajai boasts of over 15 years’ experience in guiding blue-chip, multinationals, small and medium enterprises in West Africa to acquire cutting-edge technologies and implement them.

Coming from a solid IT background, Ladipo-Ajai until recently held the position of executive director for sales at BCX in Nigeria. Prior to that, he worked for IBM and became IBM West Africa’s first cloud and software services specialist. Ladipo-Ajai also has a strong track record in project and business management, as well as various other aspects of technology.

“The move to Infobip just made sense. Infobip is a young, fast-growing brand and what really attracted me was levels of creativity and the fantastic new-age solutions that this company offers to the local market,” he says.

Ladipo-Ajai has large ambitions for the company, saying that one of the first things he wants to focus on is growing Infobip Nigeria’s market share, as well as building a significant partner platform for the company to participate in the channel space in West Africa. He plans to achieve this within the first six months of his appointment, and also has plans for growing the company’s existing direct sales base.

“A large part of my strategy is to make Infobip a household name in the enterprise space in Nigeria. Infobip is evolving into a software as a Service (SaaS) company,” he says.

Aside from Infobip’s strong presence in the financial services sector, Ladipo-Ajai explains that it is important for the company to expand into other verticals, such as healthcare, government, manufacturing, eCommerce and hospitality.

“I’m really excited to have joined Infobip Nigeria. The company offers a lot of real value through the innovation, creativity and simplicity that characterises its solutions,” he added.
