Starting today Monday, April 4, 2022, all unlinked SIM cards to National Identity Number (NIN) will be barred from making outgoing calls, a statement jointly signed by the Nigerian Communications Commission and National Identity Management Commission has revealed. Telecommunications operators in Nigeria have warned that the high cost of diesel, which is presently been sold at above N700 per liter is capable of causing service disruption across the country. The Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria (ALTON) has accused the Governor of Kogi State, Mr. Yahaya Bello of declaring war against telecom services in Kogi State and seven other neighboring states.
