The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta today highlighted some risks associated with using digital/telecoms platforms for carrying out non-cash financial transactions. New data analysed by Finbold, has explained how Chinese Original Equipment Manufacturer, Huawei leveraged on the Covid-19 pandemic to emerge the top 5G-ready devices. A new report by Atlas VPN has shown that in 2020, devices with Windows operating systems were affected by over 111 million malware infections. The report analysed by the Atlas VPN Team, also indicate that 83% or nearly 92.3 million Windows malware infections were found on consumer devices, while 15% or 16.7 million were discovered on business devices. A new finding has revealed that revenue from the sales of smartphone and laptop will hit a whooping $700B by 2024, as Desktop PC and Tablet market continue to witness continued failing. The finding from Statista Technology Market Outlook data shows Mobile phone sales are expected to continue booming and generate $552.4bn in revenue by 2024, a 9.5% increase in three years, with the two leading markets of China and the United States generating one-third of that value.
