    Excitement as Edufirst donates laptops, security equipment to FSTC, Yaba

    There was excitement among teachers and students of the Federal Science & Technical College, Yaba yesterday as Edufirst, an online based platform that promotes education leveraging technology donated laptops and other security equipment to the school.

    An elated Principal and Director of the school, Dr. Ogochukwu Ufoegbune, while receiving the equipment noted that Edufirst as one of the partners in the areas of Information and Communication Technology in the school, has consistently displayed a commitment to the upliftment of education in the school and across other Unity Schools in Nigeria.

    “Today, we are excited about these donations. They will improve the situation and overall security performance of the School,” she said.

    Ufoegbune disclosed that this is not the first time Edufirst is intervening to the School’s needs, hoping that this intervention will not be the last.

    Moses Imayi, Dr. Ogochukwu UfoegbuneMeanwhile, the Project Director at Edufirst, Mr. Moses Imayi has further assured of the company’s commitment to ensure Federal Science & Technical College, Yaba has the best of education to compete favourably among its peer globally.

    Imayi said as an organization thriving on the benefits of technology, Edufirst is passionate about fostering the growth of education in Nigeria through technology, innovation and creativity.

    The donations, according to him as part of its support scheme in ensuring quality education in a serene environment, explaining that quality education can only thrive in a safe environment for the students.

    “Today reinforces our commitment to Federal Science & Technical College, Yaba towards essuring consistent support to the advancement of knowledge,” Imayi stated.

    The equipment donated to Federal Science & Technical College, Yaba include 3 patrol bicycles, 10 Walkie-talkies, 8 security searchlights, 10 raincoats, 10 security batons and 10 security whistles as part of the campaign drive to encourage the school’s security to put their best to work.

    Also, to enhance quality of education and provide the right tools to be globally competitive, Edufirst donated 20 laptops to the Vice Principals and Heads of Department of Federal Science & Technical College.
