Galaxy Backbone (GBB) and the Benue State government have joined forces to accelerate digital transformation in the state. The partnership was solidified during a visit by Benue State Governor, Reverend Father Dr. Hycinth Iormem Alia, to GBB’s state-of-the-art digital infrastructure facilities in Abuja last week.

Governor Alia was impressed by GBB’s Uptime Certified Tier III Data Center, Security Operations Center, and Network Operations Center, which demonstrate the company’s commitment to providing top-tier digital solutions.

GBB’s collaboration with the Benue Digital Infrastructure Company (BDIC) will leverage GBB’s expertise in cloud computing, colocation, connectivity, cybersecurity, and business continuity to drive digital innovation in Benue State.

Professor Ibrahim Adeyanju, GBB’s Managing Director/CEO, emphasized the company’s role in providing the technological foundation for states to thrive in the digital age. He highlighted GBB’s high-speed fiber connectivity, available in nearly 30 states, as a key asset for this partnership.

Governor Alia expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating that it will significantly advance Benue State’s digital initiatives and improve governance.

GBB invites other states to join the partnership and benefit from its extensive digital infrastructure, enabling them to achieve economies of scale and accelerate their digital transformation journeys.

    Key Highlights of the Visit:

    • Tier III Data Centre: The Governor was given a detailed tour of the Uptime Certified Tier III Data Centre, which offers unparalleled reliability, security, and scalability for data storage and management.
    • Security Operations Centre (SOC): The SOC is equipped with advanced monitoring tools to provide real-time threat detection and response, ensuring robust cybersecurity measures are in place.
    • Network Operations Centre (NOC): The NOC enables continuous monitoring and management of network performance, ensuring seamless connectivity and operational efficiency.
