    Galaxy Backbone wins Public Sector ICT Infrastructure Provider Of The Year award

    Galaxy backbone has been adjudged Public Sector ICT Infrastructure Provider Of The Year at the just concluded Nigeria Tech Innovation & Telecom Awards (NTITA) 2017.

    The event, which was organized by the Association of Telecoms Companies Of Nigeria (ATCON), was a gathering of industry leaders, Decision makers, practitioners and the media.  The event provided a great opportunity for Information Technology and Telecommunications leaders from both the private and public sector platforms to interact, share ideas and celebrate one another on the successes and milestones achieved during the passing year.

    Meanwhile, Mr. Yusuf Kazaure, Galaxy Backbone’s Managing Director/CEO was recognized as the Public Sector ICT Personality of the year 2017 for his contributions toward the growth of ICT in the country.

    In receiving this award, Mr. Kazaure thanked ATCON the organizers of NTITA 2017 for the honor being meted to him, “I am humbled by this award and grateful for this recognition. Galaxy Backbone will continue  to identify itself with the industry and partner relevant stakeholders in the delivery of efficient and reliable ICT services across both Federal and State public institutions”.

    Kazaure’s contributions to ICT, especially in the public sector cannot be underestimated. His presence and leadership in Galaxy Backbone from its inception has seen the organization’s grow to greater heights. Through his leadership, Galaxy Backbone has expanded its network coverage across over 18 states in the federation and is still currently expanding its reach to the other parts of the country.

    Galaxy Backbone is the ICT provider and digital Infrastructure agency to the nation’s public sector. GBB remains an active and prominent player in the Telecoms and entire Information Technology sector, providing network backbone infrastructure and digital connectivity services to partners and stakeholders across the public and private sector. This organization set up by the Federal Government provides Data Hosting services through its Tier 3 Datacentre in Abuja and a Back-Up/Disaster Recovery Datacentre in Enugu. Through these strengths, GBB is championing the cause for keeping Data in – country and most effectively, especially securing the government’s sensitive data.
