WhatsApp is excited to introduce new filters and backgrounds to enhance your video calling experience. These effects allow you to customize your appearance and surroundings during calls, adding a personal touch and making conversations more engaging.

With a variety of filters to choose from, you can create a playful atmosphere by adding color or artistic elements to your video. Backgrounds offer privacy and the ability to transport yourself to different locations, such as a cozy coffee shop or a comfortable living room.

Choose from a Wide Range of Options

WhatsApp offers 10 filters and 10 backgrounds to mix and match, allowing you to create a unique look. Filter options include Warm, Cool, Black & White, Light leak, Dreamy, Prism light, Fisheye, Vintage TV, Frosted glass, and Duo tone. Background options include Blur, Living room, Office, Cafe, Pebbles, Foodie, Smoosh, Beach, Sunset, Celebration, and Forest.

    Additional Features

To boost your confidence and comfort, WhatsApp is also introducing Touch up and Low Light options. These features naturally enhance your appearance and brighten your environment, making your video calls more vibrant and enjoyable.

How to Access Filters and Backgrounds

To use these effects during a 1:1 or group video call, simply select the effects icons located in the top right corner of the screen. You’ll then be able to choose the filter and background that best suits your mood.

    Availability

These new features will be available to all WhatsApp users in the coming weeks.
