    MTN Nigeria announces new board as Ndukwe, Omobola make list

    MTN Nigeria, yesterday announced a new Board of Directors with Former Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr. Ernest Ndukwe as Chairman designate.

    In a statement from MTN Nigeria Chief Executive,  Ferdinand Moolman, the former telecom regulatory chief will take over from Chief. Pascal Dozie by September 2.

    Also notable people on the list of new directors is former Minister of Communications Technology, Mrs. Omobola Johnson. Others are former Nigerian pension regulatory chief Muhammad Ahmad, ex-banker, Andrew Alli, who once represented the International Finance Corporation to MTN Nigeria’s board.

    According to the statement, the combination of extensive experience across the worlds of technology, finance, regulatory and policy development and corporate governance offers a hugely synergistic set of skills that will be of great benefit to MTN as it moves into a new phase of growth.
