Dr. Vincent Olatunji, National Commissioner/CEO of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), will take the stage at the esteemed 50 Most Valued Personalities (MVPs) event to highlight the critical role of data protection in Nigeria’s burgeoning digital economy. This high-profile gathering, attended by industry luminaries, thought leaders, and top executives from both public and private sectors, aims to delve into key issues shaping Nigeria’s digital landscape.

Dr. Olatunji joins a distinguished lineup of speakers, including Leo Stan Ekeh, founder of Zinox Group; Dr. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, digital systems expert and APC gubernatorial flagbearer in Plateau State; Engr. Ikechukwu Nnamani, CEO of Digital Realty Nigeria; and Gbenga Adebayo, Chairman of the Association of Licensed Telecoms Companies of Nigeria (ALTON). Together, they will explore the theme of ‘Navigating the Challenges and Exploring Potentials of Nigeria’s Digital Economy’ at the event scheduled for Thursday, March 21, 2024, at the Providence Hotel, Lagos.

Organized by IT Edge News, a leading publication under Knowhow Media with nearly two decades of industry coverage, the MVPs event celebrates trailblazers, change makers, and steadfast leaders who have propelled the digital economy forward despite formidable obstacles.

According to founding editor Olusegun Oruame, IT Edge News has been a pillar of industry insights and trends for nearly two decades, making it one of the oldest, most consistent, and largest platforms for documenting industry growth.

The event recognizes the challenges and progress of Nigeria’s digital economy, spotlighting individuals who have made significant contributions across various sectors, including telecoms, e-commerce, fintech, hardware and software development, tech hubs, startups, emerging technologies, and government policies.

Dr. Sola Afolabi, Chairman of Baobab Think Limited and the Nomination Team for 2024, emphasizes the event’s significance as a platform for showcasing Nigeria’s transformative journey into the new economy.

Nominees for the ’50 MVPs in Nigeria Digital Economy’ 2024 are selected based on their innovative contributions, leadership roles, influence, impactful initiatives, and visionary insights driving Nigeria’s digital transformation.

The MVPs event serves as a testament to Nigeria’s vibrant digital ecosystem and the remarkable strides made by individuals shaping its trajectory.
