PalmPay, a leading Nigerian fintech platform, has introduced a new USSD code to enhance financial access for its millions of users. This innovative move allows customers to perform various banking transactions, including money transfers, bill payments, and savings, without requiring internet connectivity.

Since its launch in Nigeria in 2019, PalmPay has been committed to providing comprehensive financial services through its user-friendly app and extensive network of mobile money agents. The addition of the USSD service further strengthens its position as a convenient and accessible financial platform, especially in regions with frequent network disruptions.

Chika Nwosu, PalmPay’s Nigeria Managing Director, highlighted the company’s dedication to financial inclusion: “We are excited to introduce our USSD service, which aligns with our mission of bridging the digital divide. This new feature ensures that our users can seamlessly manage their finances, regardless of their internet access.”

PalmPay’s commitment to security is evident in the USSD service’s built-in account freeze feature, offering an extra layer of protection against unauthorized access. This feature empowers users to safeguard their funds in case their phone is lost or stolen.

With over 30 million registered users and a growing network of businesses, PalmPay has become a driving force behind financial inclusion in Nigeria. The company’s recognition as one of the World’s Top 250 Fintech Companies in 2024 underscores its global impact.

As PalmPay continues to innovate and expand its services, it remains a leading player in Nigeria’s fintech ecosystem, offering its customers reliable, convenient, and secure financial solutions.
