TD Africa has reiterated its unwavering commitment to integrity and accountability following the successful prosecution and conviction of a former employee for theft.
Integrity of mind and systems remains a core value at TD Africa, guiding all operations and underpinning a strict zero-tolerance policy toward fraud, theft, or any form of professional misconduct.
The company confirms that the convict, Mr. Friday Udoh, was sentenced last week by a Lagos State Magistrate’s Court for the theft of company laptops from a warehouse facility. The incident was uncovered through an internal investigation and corroborated by CCTV footage, which captured the unauthorized removal of assets. Following the discovery, TD Africa promptly reported the matter to law enforcement.
The court has ordered Mr. Udoh to pay ₦2,000,000 (Two Million Naira) in restitution to TD Africa or, in default, serve a six-month custodial sentence.
Speaking on the judgment, Chris Eze-Ozims, Group Legal Adviser at TD Africa, stated:

By following due process and cooperating fully with the Nigerian Police and judicial authorities, we have reinforced our stance that fraudulent activity has no place in our organization.
