Following the official opening of Globus Bank Limited to customers for all forms of financial transactions a few days ago, Nigeria’s CWG Plc has taken some credit, saying it set up the Bank’s infrastructure and implemented the core banking application.

In a statement issued and signed by the CWG’s Head of Brand and Marketing Communications, Mrs. Anthonia Ehanmo, CWG disclosed that both the infrastructure set up and installation, as well as the implementation of the Finacle 10.2.18, is riding on the company’s expertise.

“We are happy to bring our expertise and be part of the successful launch of the Globus Bank Limited in Nigeria, particularly as the launch buttresses progress of Nigeria’s banking industry,” part of the statement read.

CWG, touted as Nigeria’s largest system integration company is the sole vendor for the Finacle core banking application in Nigeria for the past two decades. It has so far deployed the solution to a number of financial institutions in Nigeria and having a sufficient pool of Finacle certified personnel, who possess the competency and capacity to implement the Finacle suite of solutions, end-to-end, ably backed by a more experienced team that provides 24×7 support.

Globus Bank Limited, newly licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), announced the launch of its operations in Nigeria a few days ago. According to reports, the Bank aims to be the leading digital bank in the country by leveraging cutting-edge technology to deliver exceptional value to its customers.

It said its sole objective will be to close the customer experience gap in the banking industry. This it will do by offering innovative products tailored to the needs of the customer by offering and deploying green technology in its branch operations.
