The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) and Imose Technologies Ltd, a Nigerian tech company, have taken a significant step towards technological independence by launching a range of made-in-Nigeria laptops and tablets.

The 14-inch laptops and 10.5-inch tablets, manufactured under the NASENI brand, are designed to cater to a wide range of users, from students to professionals. The NASENI Zedon X-Pro laptop, powered by a Core i5 processor and a 14-inch screen, offers a perfect blend of performance and portability. The 10.5-inch tablet, on the other hand, is ideal for those seeking a compact and versatile device for tasks like document editing, video streaming, and gaming.

This initiative aligns with the Nigerian government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes local content development and job creation. By reducing reliance on imported technology, NASENI and Imose aim to boost the domestic economy and create new opportunities for Nigerian businesses.

Khalil Suleiman Halilu, Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of NASENI, emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership with Imose Technologies. He highlighted the 3Cs principles of Collaboration, Creation, and Commercialization, which guide the agency’s efforts to bridge the technological gap and foster innovation.

Osayi Izedonmwen, Chairman of Imose Technologies, expressed pride in partnering with NASENI to produce laptops locally. He stressed the company’s commitment to solving Nigerian problems through innovative technology solutions and improving access to technology for education and work.

Both NASENI and Imose share a common vision of promoting innovation and national development through cutting-edge technology. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s journey towards technological self-sufficiency.

It is envisaged that government ministries, departments, agencies, public institutions and private organizations and consumers can buy NASENI laptops by sending requests to sales@naseni.gov.ng.
