A CBS News-distributed documentary explores Infobip’s remarkable journey from startup to unicorn status, highlighting its unique achievement of reaching a billion-dollar valuation without securing any external funding. The film chronicles Infobip’s mission to democratize global omnichannel communications, empowering leading businesses to create engaging, conversational customer experiences that foster brand loyalty.

The documentary emphasizes the modern consumer’s desire for seamless communication with brands on their preferred channels. Infobip, founded in 2006, has consistently pioneered innovative omnichannel solutions to meet this demand, bridging the gap between businesses and their customers.

A key example showcased in the film is Infobip’s partnership with Uber. Serving over 110 million Uber users across APAC, EMEA, and LATAM, Infobip’s solutions, including number masking for secure driver-passenger communication, have been instrumental in Uber’s competitiveness. The partnership, which began in 2019, has expanded to encompass SMS alerts, WhatsApp communication, and even in-app Uber ordering.

Beyond Uber, the documentary explores how Infobip’s suite of products and services, including conversational AI and emerging messaging channels like RCS, provide businesses with a competitive edge.

“As technology and customer preferences evolve, Infobip has been at the forefront of driving innovation in omnichannel communications, as our partnership with Uber demonstrates. By learning by doing, our dedicated team continues to explore new frontiers and deliver market-leading solutions that provide seamless conversational experiences between businesses and their customers,” says Silvio Kutić, CEO of Infobip.

The film underscores Infobip’s “learn by doing” philosophy as a key factor in its bootstrapped success.
