    Computer Village: Concessionaire speaks about plans for the new location

    Bridgeways Global Projects Limited, the  concessionaire for the proposed new Computer Village has spoken of plans on what industry watchers expect to be world class ICT Business park, promising that the new market will transform the industry.

    The Lagos State government and the Computer and Allied Products Dealers Association of Nigeria (CAPDAN) have agreed to relocate the Computer Village market presented at Ikeja to a  new location along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

    The Chief Executive Officer of Bridgeways Global Projects Limited, Jimmy Onyemenam, who spoke of some of the plans, stated that the new facility would be a world class technology incubation platform, where entrepreneurs and businesses will have the opportunity to create value in the development of technology software and hardware.

    “The new Computer Village have an elevated status of a global technology location, which will  provide the infrastructure to incubate and accelerate the development of technology solutions that can improve development outcomes on the African continent,” he said.

    He noted that an abundance of curiosity, innate talent and passion abound in Nigeria within the technology developer community, emphasizing that these talents can do better with more infrastructure support to develop more solutions in the areas of education, health and agriculture.

    According to Onyemenam, the new Computer Village will be developed on a 15.7 hectares of land, with over 3000 retail outlets of assorted sizes, a 4000-capacity mall, 5,000 sitter exhibition hall and ICT incubator complex. Other facilities include a budget hotel, banking facilities, restaurants, helipad, OPD clinic, Police Station, Security and fire Service, electric power, portable water and sustainable waste management plants.
