The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has endorsed the Women Entrepreneurs and Executives in Tech Summit (WEETS), now proudly in its 5th year. Over the years, WEETS has grown into a landmark gathering designed to amplify the voices, visibility, and ventures of women in Nigeria’s technology and entrepreneurial ecosystems, providing a platform for capacity building, networking, and recognition of outstanding achievements.

The 2025 edition of WEETS is themed: “IDEA TO IMPACT: Scaling Your Tech Journey & Building Entrepreneurship.” This theme resonates with the NCC’s mandate to drive digital inclusion, innovation, and entrepreneurship ensuring that Nigerian women and girls are not left behind in the rapidly expanding digital economy.

The summit is structured into two major segments:

Morning Session (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM): This will feature seminars, keynote addresses, and panel discussions with thought leaders, innovators, and policymakers, all sharing insights on how women can scale their tech journeys and transition ideas into impactful enterprises.

Evening Session (from 4:00 PM): A prestigious Awards Ceremony & Book Launch will take place, recognizing trailblazing women who are transforming Nigeria’s technology and entrepreneurial landscape.

In addition to the NCC’s backing, this year’s edition enjoys support from several leading organizations including Medallion Data Centre, Zoracom, Wema Bank, and NDPC, among others. Their involvement reflects the collective commitment of stakeholders across industries to foster inclusion, digital skills, and entrepreneurship for women.

Speaking on the endorsement, the organizers of WEETS noted that the NCC’s support is a major boost to the summit’s mission of driving women’s participation in technology and entrepreneurship. “With institutions like the NCC and other partners backing WEETS, we are confident of building stronger pathways for women to innovate, lead, and create lasting impact in Nigeria’s digital economy,” they remarked.

Since its inception, WEETS has consistently provided a platform for women to learn, unlearn, relearn, and network, while also showcasing the remarkable achievements of female innovators and entrepreneurs across Nigeria and beyond.
