    Young Nigerians join Amplify Digital to discuss future of brands

    Amplify Digital Agency, a data-driven digital marketing agency on Thursday, at the Workstation, Maryland Mall in Lagos gathered some young Nigerians to discuss the future of brands in a business environment that is utterly leveraging digital strategies.

    Tagged ‘Think Digital’, the event is designed to expose brands meet their marketing targets, especially in reaching out to prospect clients, which ordinarily couldn’t have been met with traditional strategies.

    Speaking to Journalists on the sideline, the Business Development Manager of Amplify Digital, Ponmile Alabi, noted that the event with the theme: ‘Under the Influence: Understanding the Power and Reach of Social Influencers’, is part of Amplify’s effort to identify some of the challenges facing the marketing industry and find possible solutions to ameliorate or address them.

    “The essence of today’s event is to bring marketing managers, brand managers together to talk about the problems we are facing because we found out that there’s a gap between the agency and the clients,” she disclosed.

    She added that as a digital marketing agency, Amplify believes that the marketing industry is the second most changing industries. Hence, creating a huge gap between the agency and the clients. This, she noted must be bridged by innovations and new strategies.

    Asked what Amplify is bringing to the table, Ponmile said: “As a Digital Marketing Agency, we don’t believe in the traditional ways of getting clients, we offer products that brands can implement in house,”.

    She mentioned that some of the products and services include social media marketing account management, capacity and capability – assuring that the expertise it brings in a brand will be different will ultimately make  a difference.

    Earlier in a panel  discussion ‘​measuring media marketing impact with regards to influence marketing’, which was largely made up of  social media influencers, they unanimously decried the dwindling budgets being allocated to the industry, emphasizing that all over the world, social media influencers are playing a key role for brands, which is helping to improve business growth.

    “Nigeria shouldn’t be an exception, where social media influncers are paid next to nothing. We need to be encouraged owing to the big role we play for brands,” said one of the panelists, Damilola Taiwo, Digital Marketing Manager, Mouka Limited.
