AfriGoldTV has emerged the Best Online Movie platform of the year at the 2019 Titans of Technology Awards which held at Oriental Hotel in Lagos recently.
According to the organisers, innovation, viewers comments, storylines, content and service delivery were key components in the criteria considered by the Tech Africa intelligence unit panel that selected the award winners.
The four months long period involved gathering series of detailed information on KPIs, Artists satisfaction, due diligence, production management, target, growth strategies and ethical practices.
At the end, AfriGoldTV was the adjudged overall winner among 5 online movie platform operating in the country, scoring 6.3 per cent, followed by Irokotv with 5.51 per cent and Ndalitv with 5.45 per cent. Others included Afrinolly and Ibakatv by 5.30 per cent and 4.89 percent, respectively.
Receiving the award, Chief Executive Officer, AfriGoldTV, Dr. Oby Olebara-Uzoukwu described the award as a landmark achievement for the company. “We are elated by this award and I want to dedicate it to my team and those who believe in our vision to change the narrative in the Nigerian motion picture industry. Over the last one year we have worked assiduously to remain consistent with our vision because we believe that movies are a key driver and fulcrum to leapfrog the economy.
We have provided jobs to hundreds of Nigeria youths as a wholly indigenous online film and content provision company. This award is a reward for our hard work and we thank the organisers of the Titans of Tech Awards for this honour and recognition.
