    Airtel Nigeria’s tech leaders shine at CIO Awards

    Airtel Nigeria has once again solidified its position as a technology and innovation leader, with two top executives receiving prestigious honors at the 5th CIO & C-Suite Awards. Held on November 30, 2024, at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, the awards recognize outstanding achievements in technology and innovation leadership across 11 African nations.

    Harmanpreet Dhillon, Airtel Nigeria’s Chief Technology Officer, was crowned Overall Tech Champion of the Year and also secured the Gold Award as an Innovative Leader in the Telecommunications Sector. Additionally, Kemi Ariyo, the company’s Director of Information and Technology, was awarded the Silver Award in the same category, underscoring her significant contributions to the industry.

    Expressing his gratitude for the recognition, Mr. Dhillon dedicated the awards to the entire Airtel Nigeria team, stating, “At Airtel, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation and delivering excellence. These awards are a testament to our team’s hard work and dedication. We’re inspired to continue breaking new ground and shaping the future of technology.”

    The event brought together a distinguished gathering of technology leaders, including CTOs, CIOs, security experts, and innovation pioneers, who share a common vision of driving transformative progress across industries.

    Kemi Ariyo emphasized the importance of such accolades in fostering innovation, saying, “Awards like these motivate us to continue contributing meaningfully to the industry and to explore new frontiers in technology and telecommunications.”

    These achievements further solidify Airtel Nigeria’s reputation as a trailblazer in the telecommunications industry, committed to excellence, innovation, and setting new standards.
