Kenya based start-up, Ajua has announced the appointment of Mr. Tayo Ashiru, former Head of Marketing at MainOne as its Country Head for Nigeria, even as the company strategically seeks to invest massively in the Nigerian market with its CX solutions.

Announcing the appointment of Ashiru, Ajua, touted as Africa’s first Integrated Customer Experience Company, said the appointment is part of its plans to position strategically in the Nigerian market to harness the power of its platform to enable Nigerian businesses to retain their customer’s loyalty and revenues.

“We are delighted to have Tayo Ashiru at the helm of our operations in Nigeria as he brings tremendous Management and Marketing experience with him to this pivotal role. We have significant confidence in the Nigerian market, and Tayo joins us at a time as we focus our CX solutions within Nigeria with significant investments planned for 2021,” said Kenfield Griffith the CEO and founder of Ajua in a statement.

Griffith argued that the humans of the world have learned a lot from the challenges of last year and Ajua understands how critical it is for businesses to have a complete 360-degree view of their human customers.

“As conventional physical means of attracting new customers remain challenging, it’s vital for businesses that wish to retain or grow revenues to have a deep connection with their customer and understand the experiences at every step of the customer journey – the digital transformation businesses need to compete and thrive into 2021 and beyond,” he added.

The Kenyan based start-up has recorded stellar growth in recent years as African businesses leapfrog traditional means to get to know their customers that drive retention and acquisition, Ajua’s software platform delivers real-time analytics of customer feedback and behaviour via various touchpoints.

Prior to joining Ajua, Tayo Ashiru was the head of Marketing at MainOne, where he oversaw the transformation of the company into a global brand. He began his career as a product manager with Glo Mobile and was the first to launch many of the innovative data services that revolutionized the Nigerian telco industry.

“With the disruptions of 2020 behind us, a true test of 2021 will be how companies effectively utilise the right solutions to ensure resilience, agility and innovation to thrive; and I’m excited for the opportunity to lead Ajua in Nigeria to maximize this next phase of growth,” said Ashiru.
