    Apply: CNG Hackathon 2024 for Sustainable Energy Solutions in Nigeria

    The Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative- PiCNG, a leading advocate for sustainable energy solutions, is thrilled to announce the launch of CNG Solutions Hackathon 2024. This groundbreaking event is set to take place on the 24th of April, 2024 at the Art Tech District in Abuja. The Hackathon is aimed to accelerate the widespread adoption of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Nigeria.

    According to the organiser, the CNG Solutions Hackathon 2024 brings together a diverse array of participants, including tech enthusiasts, developers, designers, business professionals, and innovators, explaining that the goal is to foster collaboration and generate innovative solutions that address the challenges hindering the growth of CNG adoption in the country.

    EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:

    1. Hackathon Stage: Participants will engage in intensive teamwork, developing functional prototypes that push the boundaries for CNG adoption. Industry experts will provide invaluable guidance to enhance the quality and relevance of the projects. The Hackathon will feature 20 teams, each comprising 3 to 5 members.
    1. Competition: The event will culminate in a spirited competition where teams will showcase their innovative solutions at the event. Teams will compete for recognition and rewards, with a focus on inspiring groundbreaking technologies that contribute to the growth and sustainability of CNG usage in Nigeria.
    1. Incubation Program: The top-performing ideas will progress to an incubation phase, where participants will receive ongoing support and mentorship to develop and scale their projects into viable solutions for the CNG landscape.

    Mr Bankole Oloruntoba, CEO at NCIC, expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, “The CNG Solutions Hackathon is a testament to our commitment to driving innovation and sustainability in the energy sector. By fostering collaboration and providing a platform for creative solutions, we aim to contribute significantly to the growth of CNG adoption in Nigeria.”

    The Programme Director/Chief Executive of PCNGI, Mr Michael Oluwagbemi also went further to say “I am thrilled to express our enthusiasm and support for the upcoming CNG solutions Hackathon. We Look forward to engaging the participants and supporting the development of innovative solutions that will accelerate the growth of CNG in Nigeria.

    Members of the media, industry professionals, and the general public are invited to witness the CNG Solutions Hackathon 2023 and learn more about the innovative solutions shaping the future of sustainable energy in Nigeria.
