Owing to the non-settlement of interconnect charges, the Nigerian Communications Commission has decided to disconnect subscribers on the Globacom network from making calls to subscribers on the MTN Nigeria network. According to NCC, the partial disconnection of Globacom to MTN is per Section 100 of the Nigerian Communications Act, 2003 and Paragraph 9 of the Guidelines on Procedure for Granting Approval to Disconnect Telecommunications Operators, 2012.
