Digital identity will ensure effective implementation of the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS), within the stipulated period, the Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Mal. South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria recorded a significant increase in the numbers of backdoor computer malware in the second quarter of 2022 compared to the previous quarter, hitting new records and posing challenges to cybersecurity professionals in enterprise and government agencies. The Nigeria Data Protection Bureau (NDPB) is presently investigating Phillips Consulting and the United Bank for Africa PLC over what it called a breach of the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).
