Starting today Monday, April 4, 2022, all unlinked SIM cards to National Identity Number (NIN) will be barred from making outgoing calls, a statement jointly signed by the Nigerian Communications Commission and National Identity Management Commission has revealed. The statement, which quoted the federal government to have given the instruction to telecommunications operators, commended Nigerians and Legal Residents for their support during the exercise to link National Identification Number (NIN) to the Subscriber Identification Module (SIM).
