The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has described the death of Alhaji Ahmed Joda, former Chairman, Board of Commissioners of the Commission as an irreparable loss to the entire nation. The 2020 index that measures the status of young people in 181 countries around the world has ranked Nigeria in the 161 positions out of the 181 countries measured. Tagged ‘Global Youth Development Index’, the index was released by Commonwealth Secretariat, where Singapore ranked top for the first time followed by Slovenia, Norway, Malta and Denmark. Chad, the Central African Republic, South Sudan, Afghanistan and Niger came last respectively.
