Starting from today March 15, telecommunication companies in Nigeria will withdraw Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) services to debtor Financial Service Provider’s (FSP) over a whopping debt of over Forty-Two Billion (N42B) Naira. The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta today highlighted some risks associated with using digital/telecoms platforms for carrying out non-cash financial transactions. New data analysed by Finbold, has explained how Chinese Original Equipment Manufacturer, Huawei leveraged on the Covid-19 pandemic to emerge the top 5G-ready devices. A new report by Atlas VPN has shown that in 2020, devices with Windows operating systems were affected by over 111 million malware infections. The report analysed by the Atlas VPN Team, also indicate that 83% or nearly 92.3 million Windows malware infections were found on consumer devices, while 15% or 16.7 million were discovered on business devices.
