The UK-Nigeria Tech Hub, which work to stimulate local digital economies by creating jobs through digital skills has launched two virtual programmes called the Innovative Teachers Fellowship Programme and the Future Females Business School Programme. The launch of these programmes is in response to the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic on the education sector in Nigeria coupled with the need to support gender inclusive economic growth. The spending on Data Center system is expected to drop 10 percent to $188 billion in 2020, even as global IT spending is also expected to shed $300 billion in 2020 while cloud spending will surge by 6.3 percent. The Computer Professionals (Registration Council) of Nigeria (CPN), has announced the appointment of Mr. Muhammad Bello Aliyu as the New Registrar/Secretary to Council. The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has expressed worry over what it described as Internet connectivity gaps, which has persist in rural areas, particularly in  least developed countries (LDCs).
