Despite the reduced consumer spending on electronic devices, a new report by GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company has predicted that the addition of advanced features such as social distancing warning alarm, body temperature monitoring, oxygen saturation (SpO2) monitoring and handwashing timer is bound to drive smartwatch adoption. A new report by Partech Africa Team has revealed that the Venture Capital funding raised by tech startups on the continent totaled US$ 2.02 billion, representing 74 percent year-on-year growth when compared to US$ 1.163 Billion in 2018.
