The Director General of the  National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Mr. Kashifu Abdullahi Inuwa has disclosed that Nigeria was able to attract $178 million foreign direct investment from 168 deals last year. In a bid to check the spread of fake news in Africa, Facebook has decided to extend its fact checking program to an additional 10 countries in Sub-Saharan African. The 10 countries are Ethiopia, Zambia, Somalia and Burkina Faso through AFP, Uganda and Tanzania through both Pesa Check and AFP, Democratic Republic of Congo and Cote d’Ivoire through the France 24 Observers and AFP, Guinea Conakry through the France 24 Observers, and Ghana through Dubawa. The Minister of Communications, Dr. Isa Pantami has warned all parastatals under the ministry of communications to desist from the habit of rejecting Corps Members posted on National service.
