Connectivity provider, MainOne has announced it will land its submarine cable and Data Centre service in Cote D’Ivoire by October this year. This follows the issuance of a submarine cable landing license to MainOne by the government of Cote D’Ivoire few months ago. Facebook Mark Zuckerberg has outlined five year strategic business plans for the social media giant. The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has clarified earlier report, which quoted the Commission to have said 95.7million subscriber SIM registrations are invalid. The Commission said the figure quoted not invalid, but undergoing verification, emphasising that clarification is for the benefit of subscribers and other critical stakeholders who rely on subscriber registration data. “Although the figures quoted in the news reports were disclosed at a Sensitization Workshop to illustrate the quality of initial data submissions, subsequent process enhancements by the NCC and operators have led to better quality submissions. Chinese telecom company Huawei’s business arm, Huawei Cloud and Indian IT firm Infosys have signed a memorandum on strategic cooperation to jointly develop solutions around cloud computing services for business organisations. “Huawei Cloud and Infosys today signed a memorandum on strategic cooperation to help enterprise customers transition quickly to the digital cloud,” a joint statement by the companies said.
