  A new report from the Alliance for Affordable Internet (A4AI ) has shown that 2.3 billion people across the world lives in countries with unaffordable internet, noting that as little as 1GB of mobile data is too expensive for billions of people. Mobile telecom equipment maker Ericsson beat third-quarter operating profit forecasts on Thursday, boosted by sales of next-generation 5G gear in North America, and said it was making solid progress towards its long-term financial goals.
