    Bosun Tijani seeks NCS’ collaboration to promote research in new technologies

    The Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani is seeking the collaboration of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) in areas that strengthen the country’s Information Communications Technology Cadre in government and promote research in new technologies.

    During a visit to the Minister by the Abuja Chapter led by its Chairman, Mr. John Odumesi, Dr. Bosun disclosed that going by its long-standing role in deepening the knowledge and application of technology in Nigeria, the NCS would be a reliable partner in the pursuit of the country’s digital economy.

    “I had a very good meeting with members of @NigeriaComputer today, led by the Abuja Chapter Chairman, Mr. John Odumesi, where we discussed their long-standing role in deepening the knowledge and application of technology in Nigeria,” he stated on X (formerly Twitter).

    He noted that the Ministry would explore areas of cooperation on some of its initiatives, including providing training to strengthen the ICT Cadre in government and promoting research in new technologies with the NCS.

    He also requested to know from those working in the tech sector and registered members of the Nigeria Computer Society some of the ways the NCS can support tech professionals.
