Nigeria’s rapid modernization, while bringing undeniable convenience, is creating a silent health crisis among its urban population, particularly the youth, executives from global direct-selling company QNET have warned.

The executives, who spoke to Journalists at a product workshop in Lagos yesterday, noted that the combined forces of rising air pollution and relentless digital overload are causing a wave of lifestyle-related health concerns, pushing demand toward specialized wellness technology designed to restore the body’s natural balance.

They painted a grim picture of modern urban life, where constant exposure to air pollutants from traffic and industrial activity, coupled with inescapable Electromagnetic Field (EMF) radiation from smartphones and Wi-Fi, is quietly eroding public health.

“Technology has made life easier, but it is also quietly exhausting people. With more pollution, more screen time and more stress, consumers are looking for ways to support their natural wellbeing,” stated Mr. Berni Gaksch, QNET’s Regional Strategy and Marketing Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa.

The core of the problem, according to Berni, is that the very tools making life easier are simultaneously compromising key biological functions.

He pointed to search results which corroborate prolonged screen time and constant digital connectivity, to sleep disruption, intensified fatigue & anxiety, physical strain and environmental impact.

This convergence of environmental toxins and digital fatigue is proving most burdensome for Nigeria’s large youth demographic, who are often the most digitally dependent and the most vulnerable to economic instability.

In response to this growing health challenge, QNET is focusing on a range of products built on what they term the science of nature, utilizing technologies that address energy and frequency imbalances in the body.

Mr. Gaksch highlighted products such as the BioDisc, Chi Pendant, and E-Guard X, which employ structured water, geometric, and resonance technologies to mitigate the impact of everyday radiation.

QNET executives, including Regional General Manager Cherif Bassirou Abdoulaye, emphasized that their wellness technology offers not just physical support, but also a pathway for economic empowerment. The demand for these wellness products provides a low-barrier micro-entrepreneurship model for young Nigerians seeking alternatives to traditional employment.

While the claims for these energy and resonance technologies are often classified as alternative or complementary, QNET executives are proactively inviting scrutiny. They urged journalists to interrogate the claims, review the certifications and seek independent verification ahead of their product expo, noting that transparency is essential to counter the misinformation that plagues the direct-selling market in Nigeria.

By providing products that address the very real side effects of a modern, fast-paced life from polluted water and air to digital fatigue, QNET is positioning its wellness line as a practical, two-pronged solution for Nigeria’s youth: a path to personal well-being and a viable route to economic stability.
